For the innovative “Drijvend Paviljoen” project in the Port of Rotterdam, a customized solution was developed to harness aquathermal energy from surface waters. The goal was to create a sustainable, efficient energy system for a floating building that is precisely tailored to the specific requirements of the maritime environment and its intended use.

With a heat extraction capacity of 144 kW and a total of 8 ThermoGenius™ M3 water heat exchangers, the system utilizes the energy stored in the harbor water reliably and energy-efficiently. At a water depth of approximately 4 meters, the system was precisely adapted to the local conditions in the Port of Rotterdam - a decisive factor for maximum performance and system efficiency.
