ThermoGenius™ water heat exchangers utilize the aquathermal energy stored in bodies of water for efficient heating, hot water production, and active and passive cooling. The ThermoGenius™ heat exchanger is available in several models, designed for shallow, deep, still, or flowing bodies of water, as well as for fresh and saltwater. All variants are based on the same high-performance technology and thus offer customized solutions made of high-performance plastics for projects in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and other countries in Europe and worldwide.
The constant temperatures of deeper water layers, in combination with a brine/water heat pump, enable consistently high efficiency throughout the entire year. The energy from the water is transferred to the heat pump via durable PE piping. This is where the heat or cooling is extracted. Thanks to compatibility with all standard brine heat pumps, a highly efficient overall system is created, even at low water temperatures in winter.
For higher performance requirements, multiple modules can be combined in parallel- ideal for single-family homes near bodies of water, residential complexes, marinas, or entire residential neighborhoods, as well as for renovations and retrofits. ThermoGenius™ systems operate in an energy-efficient, low-maintenance, and environmentally friendly manner - without disturbing the waterbed and with minimal impact on flora and fauna. This sustainable and environmentally friendly integrated system is eligible for up to 55% funding under KfW 458.

ThermoGenius™ Water EP for docksides
- Capacity: 20 kW to the double-digit MW range
- The water heat exchanger with high heat extraction capacity for open water bodies
The ThermoGenius™ Water EP for docksides is a particularly high-performance water heat exchanger designed for open bodies of water such as lakes and rivers. The heat exchanger is permanently integrated into dock systems or floating pontoons, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the surroundings. At the same time, the dock system remains available for recreational use, urban planning projects, or marinas.
With an extraction capacity ranging from 20 kW up to the high megawatt range, the system is among the most efficient solutions for aquathermal energy generation and enables the energy-efficient supply of heat pump systems in single-family homes, residential complexes, and entire neighborhoods. With an efficiency of over 85%, the heat exchanger utilizes the renewable energy of the water particularly efficiently and with minimal maintenance.


ThermoGenius™ Water M
- Capacity: For heat pumps ranging from 6 kW to 18 kW
- The water heat exchanger for deeper bodies of water
The ThermoGenius™ Water M is a water heat exchanger designed for deeper bodies of water such as lakes, rivers, and coastal areas. It harnesses the aquathermal energy stored in the water to efficiently supply heat and cooling to buildings located near bodies of water. The M model is available in the M1, M2, and M3 capacity classes, allowing for precise sizing to meet individual energy needs. For higher capacity requirements, multiple modules can be connected in parallel. In this case, the recommended distances between the units must be maintained to ensure optimal system performance.

ThermoGenius™ Water F
- Capacity: For heat pumps up to 6 kW
- The water heat exchanger for still and flowing water
The ThermoGenius™ Water F is a water heat exchanger designed for shallow and flowing bodies of water, as well as channel-like waterways. This makes the heat exchanger particularly suitable for applications where conventional systems reach their technical limits. The F model reliably harnesses the renewable energy of the water even at shallow depths of about one meter, enabling efficient heat extraction in areas that were previously difficult to access.
Thanks to its flow-optimized and robust design, the ThermoGenius™ Water F meets the requirements for technical waterways, canals, industrial facilities, municipal areas, as well as renovation and retrofit projects. For higher performance requirements, multiple modules can be connected in parallel. This allows for the implementation of customized source concepts ranging from small-scale systems to large-scale industrial applications.


ThermoGenius™ Water ST
- Capacity: For heat pumps ranging from 6 kW to 18 kW
- The water heat exchanger for on-land installations using surface water
The ThermoGenius™ Water ST offers an optimal solution for applications where direct installation of the heat exchanger in the water is not possible. As a version that can be flexibly installed on land, it adds a particularly versatile option to the ThermoGenius™ series.
Thanks to its compact design, the ThermoGenius™ Water ST can be installed easily and safely—making it ideal for industrial or municipal applications on land. For higher capacity requirements, multiple ThermoGenius™ Water ST units can be connected in parallel, or the process parameters can be adjusted. The efficient counterflow principle ensures maximum energy utilization of the available water volume - even with challenging water qualities.
